Clear, concise communication is critical to safety at the loading dock. Light communication and alarms should clearly inform dock personnel when they can safely enter and exit a truck trailer and inform truck drivers when it is safe to depart.
Rite-Vu Hazard Recognition and Light Communication System |
---|
The Rite-Vu™ system helps you stay a step ahead of the potential dangers in your path with a combination of components that use motion detection, line-of-sight notification, and audible alarms – providing instant hazard recognition and communication to pedestrians and material handling operators. It consists of four separate products, including: Approach-Vu, Pedestrian-Vu, Corner-Vu and Leveler-Vu.
Approach_VU |
---|
Approach-Vu adds an additional layer of pedestrian safety outside of the building at the loading dock.
Features and Benefits
A motion sensor is mounted on the center-line, above the dock seal or shelter. It is aimed at the drive approach and it detects the motion of a backing trailer (up to 30 feet away).
A light and horn system, embedded in the Dok-Lok® vehicle restraint, presents a clear visual and audible warning to pedestrians in the drive approach when a backing vehicle is detected.
-
Standard with the Shadow Hook restraint and the Stabilizing Trailer restraint.
Corner-Vu |
---|
Corner-Vu provides immediate Dok-Lok status with light communication to the forklift operator before entering the trailer.
Corner-Vu Features and Benefits
Corner-Vu lights are located on the upper corners of the interior dock door.
Exclusive light communication system provides clear, line-of-sight Dok-Lok status without any obstructions in the forklift driver's view.
Reduces forklift accidents by enhancing visual communication of the Dok-Lok control box.
Mirrors status of the inside light on the Dok-Lok control box - green light means the trailer is safely secured to the loading dock with a Dok-Lok restraint. Red light indicates the trailer is not secured and it is unsafe to enter.
Virtual filament technology reduces light pollution and allows for directional light.
Leveler-Vu |
---|
Leveler-Vu helps prevent forklift accidents by providing immediate Dok-Lok status with light communication to the forklift operator while inside the trailer.
Leveler-Vu Features and Benefit
Exclusive light communication system provides clear, line-of-sight Dok-Lok status to the forklift driver while inside of the trailer.
.Reduces forklift accidents by enhancing visual communication of the Dok-Lok control box.
Reference point of the leveler location for the lift truck operator when backing out of the trailer.
Mirrors status of the inside light on the Dok-Lok control box - green light means the trailer is safely secured to the loading dock with a Dok-Lok restraint. Red light indicates the trailer is not secured and it is unsafe to enter.
Energy savings - low voltage 12 VDC LED lights.
Pedestrian-Vu |
---|
Pedestrian-Vu communicates that there is activity inside of a trailer to pedestrians and material handling equipment operators maneuvering loading dock.
Features and Benefits
Motion sensors are located on each side of the dock door and are aimed inside of the trailer
An intense, flashing blue light is emitted onto the leveler when motion is detected inside of the trailer.
Helps reduce collisions between material handling equipment and pedestrians.
Entering a trailer with a Dok-Lok that has not been secured will prompt an audible alarm.
Standard with all Dok-Loks or as a standalone system
Safe-T-Vu |
---|
Part of any facility’s best safety practices, the Safe-T-Vu® Warning System is a rack-mounted device that uses a flashing red LED chevron to visually alert workers when traffic is approaching to help prevent accidents at aisle ends and other high-risk intersections in your facility.
Features and Benefits
Safe-T-Vu® Warehouse Traffic Warning System helps prevent accidents around blind corners and busy intersections by visually notifying people and material handling equipment of oncoming traffic in your facility.
Communicates using traffic warning signals such as a flashing red LED chevron which indicates the direction of the approaching hazard only when motion is detected
Unidirectional microwave sensors detect approaching traffic from main aisle or rack aisle designation
Easy, magnetic mounting allows for fast and simple attachment to racking and includes additional mounting points for non-metallic surfaces
Included tether protects unit if broken away by accidental impact
